I’m Shawn Slaven
Founder of SMS Culinary Solutions.
I have worked in food service my entire career and spent the last 20 years specializing in grocery/deli. In my journey, I have developed many programs, systems and recipes that are top notch in the industry.
Now, I bring my skills to independent grocers and food service establishments to assist and take their brand to the next level. I believe that the true success of any operation lies in cooperation and collaboration. Partner with people who will be the daily hands-on team members. Then, let those people guide the program.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling around the country with my wife Jessica, smoking brisket in BBQ competitions, perfecting my award winning Apple Bourbon Pie recipe and hanging out with our five rescue animals - the actual owners of our home.
